I’m a new player and had demo’s a number of paddles at my local club, and was having problems deciding on my first paddle. Nothing felt quite right. Either had way too much pop (which I don’t really need), felt mushy, or unstable etc, nothing was quite right. I got to bounce a few balls off the luxx somehow before it was released, and immediately recognized the luxx had the feel I was looking for. Bought one on release day and played with it for the first time yesterday. It was everything I was hoping for. Definitely improved my soft game without a doubt, and provided great control. You can feel the dwell time, but unlike some of the other control paddles I tried, it was responsive off the face and didn’t feel like a catchers not. I wish it was just a hair faster, but I was able to put balls away, and keep serve speed respectable. I think adding a bit of lead tape will help give it just a hair more power. This is 100% the paddle for me!

I decided to give the epic a try, normally I use the s2 for the bigger face. The epic is a nice change. All reviews I watched said put lead tape on it but I decided to try like it comes and after getting use to it I loved it. No tape needed in my opinion. The control is worth the very little loss of power. I would recommend to give it a try.
