Love it!! Thought about purchasing for weeks but was waiting for a sale and then the color I wanted was out of stock. Worth the wait! It all came together. Love the extra reach and power! I still have the same touch if not better that I had before with my Selkirk Amped Epic. No issues getting spin. Worth the money!
I can’t even make a guess as to how many paddles I’ve tried. Got the Invikta Vanguard last year and knew I had found my favorite. I told my doubles partner it was almost the perfect paddle. I said all it needed was a grittier surface. Then the 2.0 came out and voila! The perfect paddle!
I purchased the Vanguard Invicta 1.0 about 4 months ago and fell in love with this paddle. The shape and feel is amazing. It really took my game to the next level. So when they came out with the 2.0, they had me at hello. I just got this paddle and played with it today. It is awesome! It has the same feel and versatility as the 1.0, but you can really feel the difference in the 2.0 surface and texture. I played indoors today and was able to put some wicked spin on the serves that I wasn't fully able to do with the 1.0. I still keep the 1.0 in my bag as a backup and let people borrow it to make future Selkirk fans. But, if in doubt, go ahead and upgrade to the 2.0, its worth it.
As far as the cost, I know some people harp on the price tag. But, compared to golf where a set of clubs easily cost 2k and a game on a Saturday is $75 minimum, this is a no brainer investment in your hobby. Thank you Selkirk for making such amazing tech!
