Love this paddle! Mid weight, but still light enough. Great sweet spot and easy to control.
The Jury Is Stll Out On This New Paddle! Have only played with it 4-5 games!
Selkirk AMPED Invikta
Gave this paddle a few months to see how it worked out. Initially, great feel and control ... and has only gotten better. If you are used to other racquet sports, the “lightweight” models may take a little longer timing wise. For those overhead big swingers be patient or you’ll catch the ball off the tip. You want that sweet spot. Spin control is very good and haven’t found a shot I can’t hit with this Invikta. I can play 2-3 hours a day for 3-4 days in a row ... no sore arm or wrist.
Having played tennis for 50+ years, I've heard "It's the conductor, not the baton" hundreds of times when the subject of racquet selection is discussed by players and pros. I've played with this paddle in several highly competitive round robins and the Amped Invikta is a game changing paddle that might turn that traditional wisdom on its head. This paddle doesn't sacrifice much in width to extend the length and that extra reach has done wonders for my short game. The additional length allows me to get around the side of the ball and achieve sharper angles while maintaining minimum clearance over the net. I hear "nice shot" a lot more with the Amped Invikta in my hand. I'm still the conductor, but this is one great baton.
